Uk Invests 700 000 Euro In Improving Seaside Lifeguarding In Bulgaria
Bulgarian and UK marine administrations will complete a project under the PHARE programme for improving life saving and search operations in Bulgarian coastal waters. The project is worth 700 000 euro and will start in June 2007, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. The project targets to analyse the risks existing in the zone for searching and saving in, head of department for search and saving at the maritime administration Zlatko Kuzmanov said. A large number of experts from the UK maritime administration will contribute the project. UK has 10 000 miles coastal zone of which 2.5 million nautical miles have been safeguarded.
